Herbs in the Garden
Collecting and drying out herbs in the garden is a fun activity to do with kids! The sunshine was out and beautiful today! Check out our amazing school garden! We are so lucky!
Today, We created dried herb hangers with 2nd grade! We wrote the names of herbs on the concrete patio with sidewalk chalk and students cut herbs and sorted them into the correct piles. Then they took 2 popsicle sticks and rubber banded them together in the center. This created a T and more space for them to hang herbs on. They decided which herbs they’d like to take home (they could choose 4) and then labeled the sticks. They hung the herbs with pipe cleaners. They did such a great job and learned all about herbs. Students took home roses, roses and more roses…the more we cut them, the more they grow back! We love our herb garden! The students really love to grow herbs in the garden.
