Peaches

April  25, 2023 – 3rd Grade Afterschool Garden Club

Peaches and more peaches!!!  The later freeze this year helped our peach trees bloom!  Now we have so many peaches.  Each student picked 3 peaches.  Students took them home in paper bags.  We learned that peaches ripen on your counter or window sill.  We also learned that if we wanted to speed the process along we can leave them in paper bags and even add a banana.  Fun facts!  Students helped us water, harvested our cilantro, parsley, lettuce, strawberries and broccoli.   Things are thriving in our school garden.
